Park Volusia
Visitor Parking
On this page, you will find the application to purchase a new virtual parking pass that provides access to beach driving and County-owned off-beach parking lots.
Starting October 1st. you can apply for your permit.
Purchase a Park Volusia Beach Parking Permit
To purchase the new virtual parking pass, you can apply online, in the Volusia County Beaches app, or at one of our off-beach Park Volusia offices. If you’ve purchased a beach driving permit within the past year, it will still be valid until it expires. Simply purchase the new virtual permit when the current permit expires.
However, starting January 1, 2025, previously purchased beach driving permits will not be valid for off-beach parking in a County-owned lot. A visitor must separately purchase a daily pass or an annual pass for beach driving and off-beach parking. Visitors will be able to purchase an annual off-beach parking pass on January 1, 2025. There is no charge to park in a County-owned off-beach lot for anyone until this date.
To assist with registration for the new annual passes, a new Park Volusia office in Daytona Beach Shores will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, at 2422 S. Atlantic Ave. There is also a New Smyrna Beach office open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 302 N. Causeway.
PLEASE NOTE: As of October 1, 2024, annual permits WILL NO LONGER BE SOLD at the Volusia County beach ramps.

Off-Beach Parking
Beach Driving
When parking on the beach, only park in the areas designated with signs and wooden posts. Parking is allowed east, or seaward, of the posts. Please abide by the speed limit and watch for pedestrians, sunbathers and wildlife. The beach is open to vehicles from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or sundown whichever is earlier from May 1 through Oct. 31, and between sunrise to sunset from Nov. 1 to April 30, tides permitting.
Beach driving is offered at beach ramps in Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach Shores, New Smyrna Beach, Ormond Beach and Ponce Inlet. Front-elevated vehicles are not permitted on the beach. Vehicles with front fender height alterations exceeding four inches compared to the rear are not authorized. A "fender" is the contoured part over road wheels that limits mud, water dispersion, or other substances.
If you prefer to park your vehicle off the beach, there are many parking locations among 65 designated parking lots. To find beach parking, Volusia County has an app where beachgoers can find real-time information about parking locations. In the future, you will see where parking may be full or where parking spots may be available.
